Firewire has worked closely with renown Kitesurfer Felix Pivec to develop the Felix Pivec line of Pro Models. The shapes are standard Firewire surfboard designs as Felix was adamant that the best shapes for kitesurfing are in fact the same designs surfers ride. We did refine our FUTURE SHAPES TECHNOLOGY construction to create the added durability required for kite surfing, while maintaining all of the performance enhancing benefits of our flex technology.

The Parabolic Balsa Rail features 12mm balsa built from 3 x 4mm strips, which not only control flex and add strength, but also act as a buffer against rail dings. Furthermore, the long-term flex memory supplied by the balsa rails ensures boards maintain their lively feel for longer. In addition, we've worked closely with Felix Pivec to reinforce both the top deck lamination and the internal sandwich construction to handle the added compression of kitesurfing. We feel we've achieved the right balance between flex, weight and durability.

The KDM in other words the kitesurfing Dominator is the most versatile board in the Firewire range , the DOMINATOR combines a full outline with a thick foil from nose to tail and a 5/4/3 fin configuration.
